Welcome to Glasgow 2008!

The 2008 Eurovision Dance Contest, the second running since 2007, takes place on the 6th of September in Glasgow, Scotland, at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC). The show will be hosted by Graham Norton and Claudia Winkelman.

15 countries take part. Each couple, which consists of a professional IDSF-accredited dancer and a non-professional dancer - often a celebrity - from the resprective country, performs for 2 minutes maximum. Each performance is freestyle, but has to include (standard) ballroom or Latin elements, as well as a national flavour in terms of music, style or costumes.

A jury of IDSF professionals from non-participating countries and you, the viewers, will decide upon the winner of the Eurovision Dance Contest. The voting takes place in true Eurovision-style, featuring the famous douze points and live links to the participating countries.
